Glendale Public Library: Kids STEAM Club @ FBL – Salt and Wax Painting Experiments
Join us once a month for a STEAM themed read-aloud and activity! Together, we will read a picture book with a STEAM focus and then make real-life connections through fun hands-on crafts and experiments. Projects include paper airplane competitions, inventing a creature, painting with magnets, slime making, and more! Geared at ages 5-8.
In this hands-on art workshop, we will experiment with how salt and wax resist and attract water. This program blends art and science to create beautiful and unique pieces of watercolor art!
All events at the Glendale Public Library are public, and participants may be photographed by the media and/or City staff for future print and/or online publication.
This project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
