Glendale Public Library: Kids STEAM Club @ FBL – Bird Feeders

Join us once a month for a STEAM themed read-aloud and activity! Together, we will read a picture book with a STEAM focus and then make real-life connections through fun hands-on crafts and experiments. Projects include paper airplane competitions, inventing a creature, painting with magnets, slime making, and more!

Geared at ages 5-8.

We will read about birds and their needs, and then we will make bird feeders out of upcycled materials to put sustainability and environmentalism into action.

All events at the Glendale Public Library are public, and participants may be photographed by the media and/or City staff for future print and/or online publication.

This project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

  • Audience: Kids (6 - 8 years), Preschoolers (3 - 5 years)
  • Genre: Conservation and Sustainability, Field Sciences
  • Type: Workshop

The event is finished.
