Flagstaff Festival of Science: From Paper to Virtual Reality – Exploring 2D and 3D Art Creation
Dive into the creative process with a hands-on session exploring both traditional and cutting-edge artistic modalities! Participants will sketch designs with paper and pencil, then reimagine their drawings in Virtual Reality using the Open Brush app. With all materials provided, including Quest 3 VR headsets, this workshop offers a unique opportunity for both experienced artists and curious beginners to expand their skills and explore new dimensions of expression.

The 2024 Festival of Science will take place from Sept. 20th – Sept. 29th and will commemorate the 35th anniversary.
The Festival offers a wide variety of presentations, hands-on workshops, interactive discussions, classroom talks and guided tours led by outstanding Flagstaff scientists and STEAM professionals.
Festival events highlight the innovative research happening right here in Flagstaff! Events are held in a variety of venues and institutions throughout northern Arizona.
