Flagstaff City – Coconino County Public Library: Meet us at the trailhead – Saddle Mountain

Join us as we hike part way up this extinct volcano, to enjoy spectacular views of the aspens on the San Francisco Peaks.

What you’ll need: Transportation to and from the trailhead, water, snacks, sun protection, and shoes for hiking. Please no dogs on this adventure.

How to get there: from Flagstaff, take Highway 180 north approximately 20 miles, just past mile post 236. Turn right onto Forest Road 514, then after 2.6 miles turn left onto Forest Road 550. Drive approximately 2 more miles, to Forest Road 550A and park. This road, climbing the mountain on the left is the trail.

Event will be canceled if the forest is closed to public access. Last minute notices will be sent via remind text – text @efclad to 81010 to join. Standard messaging rates apply, must be 13+ to join.
