Flagstaff City – Coconino County Public Library: Meet us at the trailhead

Join us as we explore Sandy Seep Trail! The 1.5 mile trail that provides access to the Sandy Seep area follows an old jeep track that meanders through the open grasslands dotted with ponderosa pines, Gambel oaks and clumps of cliff rose.

For this hike you will need transportation to and from the trailhead, water, snacks, sun protection, and shoes for hiking. No dogs on this adventure please.

To get to the trailhead from Flagstaff, take Highway 89 to Townsend-Winona Road. .3 miles past this road you will turn left onto FR 9139. It is the first dirt road on the left. This takes you to the trailhead. We’ll meet you there!

This event will be canceled if the forest is closed to public access.
