Desert Botanical Garden: Nature and Ecology – Birding 101: Books, Binoculars, Basics

For those just getting started, birder Kathe Anderson will take you through basic equipment, resources and bird anatomy to help you chart your own course in discovering why birding is a fast-growing pastime. This hands-on program starts in the classroom, then moves outside to practice using binoculars to find and identify birds in the Garden. Garden admission included.
