Children’s Museum of Phoenix: Earth Day Expo
Join us in the Children’s Garden for fun and educational outdoor activities in celebration of Earth Day!
Wednesday, April 22nd from 9am-1pm.
HANDS-ON PROGRAMS INCLUDE:
- Compost Corner – Explore the world of worms and roly-polies and build your own compost container to learn about how composting works
- Seed Bombs – Make a wildflower seed bomb to take home and spread some nature
- Book Nook – Take a seat and read about our natural world with a fun selection of books
- Create & Grow – Decorate a pot, plant a sunflower seed, and take it home to nurture
- Build a Birdfeeder – Make your own birdfeeder out of a pipe cleaner and toasted oat cereal
- Scavenger Hunt – Explore the Children’s Garden and track down everything on the list! When you’ve found all the items, come back for a fun surprise!
- Tactile Bug Table – Let your little ones explore the bug world with playdough and resin bugs
- Ecosystem Art Mural – Add your print to our community mural! Help us build a beautiful ecosystem
