Chandler Public Library: Travel Thursdays – Copper Mines and Recycled CD Art Mosaics
Travel on the third Thursday of the month at the Basha Library, starting with a digital safari and ending on a scavenger hunt or craft related to the site we visited, and engage kids in a global community!
Today we will explore around Arizona and learn about the historic copper mines in the state. Did you know that Arizona produces almost 75 percent of all copper in the United States? In conjunction with National Recycle Day, you’ll also create a mosaic quilt square from recycled CDs!
