Chandler Public Library: The Nature of Things – Charging Ahead: Transitions in Sustainable Transportation

Arizona has been a testing ground for new innovations in transportation, combining artificial intelligence, ride-sharing applications, and electric vehicles. With this new technology comes challenges. Dr. Jennifer Richter of Arizona State University will discuss emerging environmental issues that have developed with “green” technology, from the environmental hazards of production and disposal, to global impacts. Dr. Richter will open a conversation about the benefits and drawbacks of this transportation revolution.
