SUMMARY:Embry - Riddle Aeronautical University: Junior Individualized Flight Training Summer Camp [Echo]
DESCRIPTION:Introducing Junior Individualized Flight Training (J-IFT) Summer Program – Our newly designed former Expo Flight camp. \nThe J-IFT Summer Program is a hands-on\, personalized\, and individually focused 5-day immersion to aviation for students ages 14-18. Created to match the collegiate flight training environment – dedicated personalized instructor assigned to no more than 2 students – it is the most realistic experience in terms of how flight training “really works”. Designed to inspire the next generation of aviators\, this program combines live flight training\, simulator sessions\, and expert ground instruction on a finely tuned extract of the key elements contained in the FAA Private Pilot Airman Certification Standards.\n \nProgram Highlights\n\nFlight Training:Scheduled flights operating a Cessna 172 “Skyhawk” equipped with Garmin G1000 advanced avionics\, alongside a FAA Certified Flight Instructor. These flights will be comprised of three flights\, including a cross-country flight to Payson\, AZ and will teach students airport pattern work\, maneuvers\, take-offs\, and landings. All flight hours are logbook certified and count toward future aviation goals and future flight certification.\nSimulator Training:Scheduled flights operating our Advanced Aviation Training Devices (AATD)\, which are state-of-the-art fixed and full-motion flight simulators\, also under the guidance of a FAA Certified Flight Instructor. These hours are logbook certified and can be applied to future flight certification.\nGround Instruction:Pre-flight preparation and post-flight debriefings led by FAA Certified Flight Instructors\, which feature personalized student instruction. With a student to instructor ratio of 2 to 1 at all times\, students will receive unparalleled individualized attention.\n\nAviation Topics: Interactive sessions covering:\no  Weather\no  Air Traffic Management\no  Safety Analysis\no  Night Operations \no  Cross-Country Operations \nImportant Information\n\nStudents will be flying during day and evening hours and are required to wear closed-toed shoes\, long pants\, and socks covering the ankles during their flight times.\nPer TSA guidelines\, US citizenship is required for a student to participate in this flight training course.\n\n*Flight hours are not guaranteed due to unforeseen circumstances\, such as weather. In the event of a canceled flight\, we will do our absolute best to modify the remaining flights and adjust the schedule to accommodate previously scheduled flight times. \nWho: High School Students ages 14-18 \nWhen: \nEcho – July 5\, 2026 – July 10\, 2026 \nWhere: Prescott\, Arizona \nTuition: $3520 \n  \nNot for college credit  \nTuition Includes    \nSupervised housing\, on-campus meals\, classroom instruction\, books\, and materials. SUMMARY:iD Tech: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
DESCRIPTION:Machine learning has introduced many of today’s greatest technological advancements\, including object recognition. From self-driving cars to home security systems with intruder detection\, data scientists can help make the world a safer place. \nYou’ll take a look under the hood at how AI systems are built and machine learning models are trained. Develop your own system to recognize images\, like categorizing mammals or identifying Pokémon. Begin with Python essentials\, then launch into neural network training—you’ll build a model that decodes hand gestures and other video input in real-time. Utilize principal datasets like TensorFlow and Kaggle to design advanced detection projects\, such as a Pictionary game where your AI companion solves clues as you draw them! \nGuided by live instructors\, you’ll uncover key machine learning concepts through hands-on projects and thoughtful discussions around ethics\, privacy\, and responsible design. At the end of the week\, you’ll collect your work into a comprehensive machine learning portfolio fit for a college application. Your pursuit of a career in artificial intelligence could start here! \nPrerequisite: We recommend beginner students start with Python Camp: Intro to Coding & AI\n\n\nAges 13 – 17\nJuly 6 – 10

SUMMARY:Nerding: Minecraft - Build\, Design & Code
DESCRIPTION:Think like an architect\, build like an engineer\, and create like a game designer. In this advanced Minecraft class\, older students will work in a class-only private realm to explore how real-world architecture\, design\, and engineering come together inside the game. They will study architectural styles and famous structures\, then use those ideas to plan and build impressive creations of their own while learning how to make builds feel larger\, smarter\, and more realistic. \nStudents will practice advanced building techniques such as scale\, depth\, texture\, block palettes\, landscaping\, lighting\, and interior design\, along with tips and tricks that help builds look polished and professional. They will also explore redstone circuits\, automation\, hidden features\, and coding concepts that bring their worlds to life. As they design\, test\, and problem-solve\, students will build skills they can use in any Minecraft world\, from creating epic structures to engineering interactive systems with confidence and creativity. \nThis class is perfect for kids who already love Minecraft and are ready to take their skills to the next level through bigger ideas\, better techniques\, and more intentional building. \n  \nGrades 4 – 7 \nJuly 6 – July 10

SUMMARY:Nerding: Drone Coding
DESCRIPTION:BEHAVIOR NOTE: This class is incredibly fun\, but drones are not chaos-powered toys. Students must stay calm\, follow directions immediately\, and treat the equipment\, instructors\, and each other with respect at all times. Unsafe\, reckless\, or overly silly behavior means a student will be grounded and will sit out of flying activities until they are ready to rejoin safely. \nCode it. Fly it. Land it. In this exciting hands-on drone class\, students will learn to pilot and program real codable drones through high-energy\, mission-based challenges. Using block-based coding\, they will control flight paths\, altitude\, speed\, turns\, and precision maneuvers while taking on scenarios inspired by real-world drone applications like search and rescue\, scientific exploration\, mapping\, and disaster response. \nAs students build their skills\, they will learn how coding and flight work together to solve problems\, complete objectives\, and improve accuracy. They will practice sequencing\, troubleshooting\, spatial awareness\, and control techniques while testing programs\, adjusting flight patterns\, and improving performance with each mission. Along the way\, they will discover tips and strategies for smoother takeoffs\, more precise landings\, better navigation\, and stronger mission planning. \nThis class is perfect for students who love technology\, robotics\, coding\, and hands-on challenges. By the end\, they will have a stronger understanding of drone operation\, block-based programming\, and real-world STEM applications\, along with the confidence to code\, fly\, and problem-solve like a drone pilot and engineer. \n  \nGrades 4 – 7 \nJuly 6 – July 10
