SUMMARY:Nerding: Minecraft - Build\, Design & Code
DESCRIPTION:Think like an architect\, build like an engineer\, and create like a game designer. In this advanced Minecraft class\, older students will work in a class-only private realm to explore how real-world architecture\, design\, and engineering come together inside the game. They will study architectural styles and famous structures\, then use those ideas to plan and build impressive creations of their own while learning how to make builds feel larger\, smarter\, and more realistic. \nStudents will practice advanced building techniques such as scale\, depth\, texture\, block palettes\, landscaping\, lighting\, and interior design\, along with tips and tricks that help builds look polished and professional. They will also explore redstone circuits\, automation\, hidden features\, and coding concepts that bring their worlds to life. As they design\, test\, and problem-solve\, students will build skills they can use in any Minecraft world\, from creating epic structures to engineering interactive systems with confidence and creativity. \nThis class is perfect for kids who already love Minecraft and are ready to take their skills to the next level through bigger ideas\, better techniques\, and more intentional building. \n  \nGrades 4 – 7 \nJune 1 – 5

SUMMARY:Arizona State University: ASU Underwater Robotics Camp
DESCRIPTION:Ready to see how engineering can change the world – and have some serious fun doing it? \nDive headfirst into the high-impact world of robotics alongside other driven high school students. This isn’t a lecture\, it’s a build\, test\, compete experience. You’ll use your design skills to enhance an underwater robot and put it to the test at the National Underwater Robotics Competition\, tackling a high-stakes mission unlike anything you’ve done before. \nYour challenge: respond to a maritime disaster in the Pacific and deploy your underwater robot to recover scattered rubber duckies\, remove hazardous materials\, and document damage to fragile marine ecosystems in a simulated deep-sea environment. Along the way\, you’ll gain real engineering skills – buoyancy\, electrical systems\, controls\, and autonomy – all through hands-on problem solving. \nYou’ll also meet and learn from Desert WAVE\, the #1-ranked underwater robotics team in the U.S.\, and see what it takes to compete at the highest level. \nNo experience required – just curiosity\, creativity\, and the drive to build something extraordinary. \n\n\nAdditional camp information: \nCamp date: Tuesday\, June 2nd – Sunday\, 7th\, 2026 (day camp) \nTuesday\, June 2nd – Friday\, June 5th\, 2026 – 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. \nSaturday\, June 6th – 12:00 to 10:00 p.m. \nSunday\, June 7th – 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. \nCamp location: Arizona State University – Polytechnic campus \nCamp payment due: May 1\, 2026 (If student is selected) \nApplicants will be notified by April 17\, 2026 \n\n\n\n\nWho can apply to attend? \nStudents who meet these requirements may apply to attend: \n\nArizona residents or students residing in Arizona over the summer with their family.\nRising 11th and 12th graders\nGood academic standing GPA\n\n\n\n  \n\nCampus Location: Polytechnic\nCost: $500\nRegistration Deadline: April 10\, 2026\nFor program inquiries\, contact: fultonschools@asu.edu 480-965-2272

SUMMARY:Embry - Riddle Aeronautical University: Junior Individualized Flight Training Summer Camp [Bravo]
DESCRIPTION:Introducing Junior Individualized Flight Training (J-IFT) Summer Program – Our newly designed former Expo Flight camp. \nThe J-IFT Summer Program is a hands-on\, personalized\, and individually focused 5-day immersion to aviation for students ages 14-18. Created to match the collegiate flight training environment – dedicated personalized instructor assigned to no more than 2 students – it is the most realistic experience in terms of how flight training “really works”. Designed to inspire the next generation of aviators\, this program combines live flight training\, simulator sessions\, and expert ground instruction on a finely tuned extract of the key elements contained in the FAA Private Pilot Airman Certification Standards.\n \nProgram Highlights\n\nFlight Training:Scheduled flights operating a Cessna 172 “Skyhawk” equipped with Garmin G1000 advanced avionics\, alongside a FAA Certified Flight Instructor. These flights will be comprised of three flights\, including a cross-country flight to Payson\, AZ and will teach students airport pattern work\, maneuvers\, take-offs\, and landings.
