DESCRIPTION:On the second Saturday of March\, learn how people made jewelry\, tools\, and obtained food before hardware and grocery stores! \nAncient Technology Day showcases different historic and prehistoric skills\, crafts\, and technologies. At S’edav Va’aki Museum\, guests can experience hands-on activities such as adobe brick making\, basketry\, pottery making\, atlatl (spear) throwing\, crafts inspired by first peoples\, and much more! Visitors of all ages and interests are encouraged to try their and at each of the technologies and test out their new skills. \nThis special event is included with General Admission: \nAdults: $13 Seniors (65+): $10 Children (6-17): $6 Students with ID: $6 Children under 6: Free Museum Members: Free \n  \n  \n  \n  \n\n\n \nArizona SciTech Festival Season is here! In the Science of Everyday Life Neighborhood learn about sports\, electricity\, renewable energy\, environmental change\, consumer science\, engineering\, safety and more. \nScience of the Natural World: Do you want to get in touch with nature? SUMMARY:⭐Gilbert Rotary Centennial Observatory: Astronomy Observation
DESCRIPTION:Come view the stars during the Arizona SciTech Festival! \nFun for the whole family\, located at the Gilbert Riparian Preserve. \nEast Valley Astronomy Club members staff operations and programming for the Observatory. \nThe observatory houses a 16-inch diameter Meade\, modified Richey-Cretien scope\, guided by a Paramount ME computer controlled German equatorial mount slaved to The Sky professional computer program. SRP contributed all funding for this state-of-the-art scope. \nCost is free\, but donations welcome. Suggested donation $5/family or $3/adult. \nWeekly\, Friday and Saturday Evening: Sunset – 9:30 PM\, weather permitting \nVisit our Facebook page for the latest information on special events and updates on observatory closure due to weather or other factors.\n  \n  \n  \n \nArizona SciTech Festival Season is here!
