
Boyce Thompson Arboretum: DESERT PLANTS AND VISTAS – A WATERCOLOR COURSE
Learn to watercolor paint or improve your skills amongst the whispering eucalyptus, succulents, and sweeping vista of the Arboretum.
Explore the elements and principles of design readily found in the desert–line, shape, contrast, repetition, and pattern, while focusing on the watercolor techniques of washes, wet in wet, hard lines, soft lines, and glazing.
Plan to wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. Bring drinking water and pack your supplies in a backpack. We will paint still-life under ramadas and Plein air landscape on shaded trails.
This course taught by Christin Quissell will run for 4 weeks, April 7th- 28th, meeting Fridays from 9:30 am -12 pm
