In this fun and informative presentation, PADT’s Eric Miller will cover how 3D Printing is used every day to design, test, and manufacture hardware going to space and to make actual components flying today.

He will then share the proof-of-concept projects showing how 3D Printing can be used on orbit and then how additive manufacturing will enable the success of settlements on the moon and Mars. Attendees will learn why 3D Printing is such a great manufacturing technology for space applications and what to look for in future projects.

About Our Speaker: 
Eric Miller is a co-owner of Tempe-based PADT, which provides tools and services to companies designing and manufacturing physical products. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley. As co-founder of PADT in 1994, Eric pursued his interests in simulation, 3D printing, small business management. Eric often writes and speaks on simulation, design, 3D printing, startups, and the high-tech sector and regularly contributes to the Phoenix Business Journal. In addition, he is a startup mentor and angel investor, sits on the board of several tech-related organizations, and is Chair of the Arizona Technology Council Board of Directors. He has been a user and proponent of 3D Printing for over thirty years.
