Arizona State Parks & Trails: iNaturalist Workshop

Do you love taking pictures of nature? What if you had the ability to quickly identify the type of flower, plant, or critter you saw right at your fingertips? You can!

Come to this iNaturalist workshop to discover how to tap into and be a part of the citizen science community while having fun figuring out what life surrounds you in the desert!

Download the iNaturalist app prior to arriving if you can, consult with a knowledgeable volunteer naturalist on how to get started, and get out on the trails to find life! Once you understand the app, you can use this app wherever you go! Volunteer Charlie will be available to answer all your questions until 12p. You’ll learn, in addition to the many uses of iNat, how to record plant and animal observations using your smartphone, tablet and/or digital camera, as well as discover what other species live in your area of interest. Meet at Cholla Ramada. Free program, no registration required, park fees still apply.’
