Arizona State Parks and Trails: Star Party at Oracle State Park
Join us for an evening admiring the night sky! The Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association (TAAA) will have telescopes set up to look at different objects in the sky. Meet at ranch house patio. If you would like a place to sit, we recommend bringing folding chairs, as our patio seating may fill up during the event.
In addition to having members from TAAA out with their telescopes, this star party will also showcase Oracle State Park’s new computerized telescope which will be projecting views of deep space objects onto a wall of the historic ranch house. The group viewing projection area will be separate from the rest of the telescopes to ensure the projection does not interfere with optical star viewing.”
The star party does not require registration and is free with regular park admission ($7 per vehicle day use fee or display a valid annual state parks pass). For any questions about the event, you can call the park at 520-896-2425 or email Ranger Michael at mbain@azstateparks.gov.
