Arizona State Parks and Trails: Learn To Scope Star Party

Join us at 5:30 PM for a Telescope 101 workshop led by renown local astronomers! We’ll learn how telescopes work, talk about recommended equipment and explore the conditions that allow for amazing stargazing opportunities.

After the workshop, we’ll be hosting a star party with Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association (TAAA) from 6:30-8:30 PM. Peer through telescopes as TAAA’s fabulous astronomers show you exciting features of the universe. The workshop and star party will take place at the Kannally Ranch House at the end of the park road. Event is free with regular park admission ($7 per vehicle) or AZ State Parks Annual Pass. We recommend that you bring a chair and warm layers. See you there!
