Arizona – Sonora Desert Museum: Tucson Mountain Botany Hike
There are so many cool plants to see and learn about on the west side of town.
As we study the shrubs, trees, cacti and hopefully annual wildflowers, we will talk about their strategies for desert dwelling. Each of the scheduled outings will begin at a different trailhead, so you can choose your favorite terrain and trail when you register. All will be about two miles roundtrip, and all take place on Friday mornings. Member price is 10% less.
April 1st King Canyon – moderate and the longest, includes gradual elevation gain; go all the way up the wash to the petroglyphs and back on the trail.
