Virtual Southeast Arizona Birding Festival 2020: Birding with a Purpose: “Cuckoo Corridor” Virtual Birding Tour

The Paton Center for Hummingbirds is famous for its Violet-crowned Hummingbirds, but moving beyond the feeders will lead you along the bird-rich Sonoita Creek and the new “Cuckoo Corridor.”

We’ll explore this new portion of the center that is actively being restored by Tucson Audubon with the removal of invasive Johnsongrass and the plantings of new natives creating a haven for Yellow-billed Cuckoos, flycatchers, finches, buntings, and more. The impact of conservation combined with birding is readily apparent in this renowned birding location and deserves our attention.
