• Tours are in the Verde Valley near Sedona

• Highest hike goes to 3,500 ft (1,067 m)

• Meet and depart at 8:30 am from the Verde Valley Archaeology Center, 385 S. Main St., Camp Verde, AZ 86322.  Transportation can be provided to and from your hotel for groups of at least four.

Adults (Ages 18+): $95
Children (Ages 12-17): $85

Due to conditions at the private preserve, no children under 12 are permitted on this tour

Members receive a 15% discount on all tickets.

Where Will We Go?

First: Atkeson Pueblo – The largest free-standing pueblo wall remaining in the Verde Valley on the banks of Oak Creek.

Second: Tuzigoot National Monument – A 2- to 3-story pueblo ruin on the summit of a limestone and sandstone ridge with 110 rooms built in 1125.

What to Bring Recommendations

• We encourage participants to bring snacks (trail mix or fruit) & a box lunch.

• We provide bottled water.

• Sun protection including hats and sunscreen year round.

• Hiking poles are available for your use.

• Closed-toed-shoes required

Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

All participants in a Field Institute tour will be required to sign an assumption of the risk and waiver of liability agreement prior to participating in the tour.
