Tucson Audubon Society: Bees, Wasps, & Ants

Bees, wasps, and ants make up the insect order Hymenoptera and suffer from something of a split personality.

On the one hand, they perform critical ecosystem functions that promote healthy ecosystems. If they didn’t exist, we may not either! On the other hand, they are unwelcome visitors in our homes and at our picnics. This presentation dives into this incredibly important order of insects, looking at their lifestyles, diversity, and importance to humanity.
