Engineering For Kids of Phoenix Metro Summer Camp @ Sky Zone Trampoline Park: Shape Your World With Augmented Reality and Creative Storytelling through Video Game Design (Grades 3 – 8)
AR is the hottest consumer tech on the market today and the potential is limitless.
Hold and manipulate a glowing digital landscape in your hands, program a custom game to be played simply by turning your fist, and apply your imagination to create something never seen before! Our instructors will teach concepts like programming, digital literacy, and game design for a balanced camp experience. Using our kid-friendly headsets and standalone Android devices, we’ll dive in and take the invigorating plunge into an augmented world of wonder and creativity!
PM Session: Creative Storytelling through Video Game Design
Mario, Master Chief, and Sonic the Hedgehog; the best games have the best characters! Using top-down world-building techniques, campers will embark on a STEAM journey to create backstories for characters, map out a plot, and incorporate elements of their stories into their own video games for a wholly immersive gaming experience. They’ll dial in the details of their game worlds, squash those programming bugs, and pitch their games to the class to gain real-world video game design experience!

The health and well being of your child, our staff, and the public has always been our top concern in running camps. We want you to rest assured that we’re taking many precautions to keep your child safe. These steps include but not limited to:
- greatly lowered enrollment caps to ensure proper distancing in our camp spaces (8-12 students, size depends on classroom space)
- sanitizing touch-points and camp materials routinely
- staff and campers sanitizing hands frequently
- staff mandated to wear face masks
- monitoring facility capacity & policies prior to taking a break (entertainment facilities only)
