Boyce Thompson Arboretum: General Tour

What is an “arboretum” and how did one end up in the Sonoran Desert?
These are just two of the questions you’ll get answers to while on our general tour. Arboretum volunteers will narrate the history of Arizona’s oldest and largest botanical garden, and highlihgt what makes the Sonoran Desert the most biodiverse desert in the world. In addition to a basic overview of desert ecology, audiences will hear what wildlife has been seen lately, and where to enjoy the most sweeping, panoramic views of the Queen Creek riparian area. Guided walks along the 1.5-mile main trail include fun facts about the Arboretum’s living plant collections while learning more about its resident critters.

Space is very limited, pre-registration is required.

Free with daily admission fee
