Arizona Science Bowl (Middle School)
The Arizona Science Bowl is a regional event of the National Science Bowl® (NSB).
Since 2007, hundreds of students have competed in this rapid fire competition to prove their capacious science and math knowledge! Winners of this regional Science Bowl will advance to the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C.
The Arizona Science Bowl is the most unique and exciting STEM competition there is! The competition consists of school teams from throughout the state. The teams are four students, one alternate, and a teacher who serves as a coach. Together, they face-off in fast-paced question and answer rounds and tested on a range of science disciplines.
The middle school question categories are: Life Science, Physical Science, Earth and Space Science, Energy, Mathematics, and General Science.
Winners of this regional Science Bowl will advance to the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C.
Who Can Compete
- The competition is open to teams from throughout the State of Arizona
- Must be school-based teams of 4-5 students and a coach. No club teams may participate. Home school teams may participate under certain circumstances. See the Official Rules for details.
- Registration is free
- All matches will be conducted online through Zoom
